The Gulli–Langåker section represents an extension of the new E18 highway south from Gulli. About 24 kilometres long, it is being constructed as a four-lane motorway in the S9 dimensioning class. It embraces five tunnels, eight pairs of bridges running longitudinally and one ramp bridge, 13 culverts beneath the E18 and one under national highway (Rv) 35 Bispeveien, as well as 18 overpasses and local bridges.
Construction work on the Gulli-Langåker section began in 2011 and is due to be completed in the autumn of 2014.
Scope of work
Design of a new four-lane road close to the existing highway, with two-level grade-separated intersections, longitudinal bridges, overpasses, culverts, noise screens, local noise abatement measures, soil surveys, geotechnical assessments, landscaping, water and drainage systems and lighting.
