Multiconsult ASA has entered into an agreement to purchase 70 per cent ownership in the architectural firm A-Lab AS. A-lab is a reputable architectural firm specialised in urbanism, design of business premises and residential buildings. With a range of multidisciplinary consulting services and skilled engineering business combined with two strong architecture companies, LINK Arkitektur and A-lab, Multiconsult will take a leading position in integrated consultancy and architecture services providing end-to-end services for our clients. The settlement will be a combination of cash and Multiconsult shares.

The positive trend and strong market development continues, and Multiconsult delivered the best quarter ever. Multiconsult’s first quarter EBITA was NOK 216.3 million, a margin of 16.5 per cent. There was high activity in most segments, and the result was positively impacted by higher billing rates and increased capacity. Net operating revenues grew by 15.1 per cent year-on-year to NOK 1 310.2 million, while the organic growth was 12.1 per cent y-o-y. The result from the segment LINK Arkitektur has improved compared to the same quarter last year. For the second consecutive quarter the order intake was record high, and with an all-time high result and order backlog Multiconsult is well positioned going forward.

Multiconsult (Oslo: MULTI) is set to be the main designer for Skanska on the announced road project E10 Hålogalandsvegen, and is part of the transport link between Lofoten, Vesterålen Harstad/ Narvik Airport and the E6 in the north of Norway. This is planned as a Public Private Partnership (PPP) by the Norwegian Public Road Administration (NPRA) where Skanska is announced as the preferred bidder. Multiconsult will carry out the main design work together with Aas-Jakobsen and ViaNova as subconsultants.

Multiconsult has been awarded a contract from Equinor and the Snøhvit partners to deliver detail engineering of the grid connection for the Snøhvit Future project.

The positive trend and strong market development continued in the last quarter of 2022. Multiconsult ended the year with a solid quarter with an EBITA of NOK 96.8 million, a margin of 8.6 per cent. EBITA for the year came in at NOK 408.5 million, a margin of 9.8 per cent.

Multiconsult ASA (OSE: MULTI) has entered into an agreement to purchase 100 per cent of the shares of the consulting engineering company Roar Jørgensen AS based in city of Hønefoss, Norway. With the acquisition and a new office in Hønefoss, Multiconsult strengthens its competence and market position in an exciting geographical area.

Multiconsult will conduct a feasibility study and environmental impact assessment for floating solar PV in Ghana.

Norsk Nukleær Dekommisjonering (NND) has notified Multiconsult Norge AS, in a joint venture with Jacobs U.K. Limited of the award of the technical support contract for the planning of the decommissioning of Norway's nuclear facilities. The contract is a frame agreement and includes a wide range of disciplines in the line of work required in the decommission phase. The initial focus of the framework contract will be on two research sites – the nuclear fuel and materials testing reactor at Halden and the JEEP-II neutron scattering facility at Kjeller – which were shut down in year 2018 and 2019 respectively.

Rikard Appelgren was elected as new chairman of the board of Multiconsult ASA 7 April 2022.

Multiconsult has been awarded a contract under the frame agreement with Statnett SF announced on the 10 October 2020. The contract relates to the engineering of three substations in connection of the planed electrification of Hammerfest LNG in the county of Troms og Finnmark, Norway. The project consists of detailed multidisciplinary engineering of the substations. The value to Multiconsult is estimated to NOK 36 million.

Since 2010, Multiconsult has been involved in the design and construction of the new MUNCH museum. The official opening was held on Friday 22 October for the 13-storey museum, with over 26,000 artworks by Edvard Munch.

Deichman Bjørvika has been awarded the "Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards" for "mid-rise buildings".

Statens vegvesen has selected the Sotra Link to design, build and operate the Sotra project PPP (NO: Rv.555 Sotrasambandet) outside Bergen at the west coast of Norway. Sotra Link includes Macquarie Group Ltd, SK Ecoplant Co. Ltd Webuild S.p.A. Multiconsult is set to deliver design and engineering services as the main designer, except for the suspension bridge.

In 2025, a new Viking Museum in Oslo will be completed. Multiconsult is part of the team that will design and build the new museum building on behalf of Statsbygg.
