The contract includes detailed design and tender documents. Multiconsult will also provide supervision during construction.
Multiconsult lowest on price
Regional Director at Multiconsult, René Flandorfer, signed the contract with the project manager of the NRPA, Tom Hedalen, on 23 July 2013.
– The construction of the Highway E134 is an attractive and exciting project in which many consultants have shown an interest. The NRPA chose Multiconsult after an overall evaluation of the price, implementation, and expertise. We were lowest when it came to the price, and second best for the other two criteria. This was fully in line with our tender strategy whereby our goal was to be among the top three in implementation and expertise, as well as to offer a competitive price,” says Mr. Flandorfer.
Strategic partnership with WSP
Multiconsult has a strategic partnership with the global consultant company WSP Group in transport and infrastructure. WSP offers everything from reports and analyses, measurements and design, to project planning and management. Together, the companies will work together to find optimal solutions for the E134 project.
-WSP is an important partner in the implementation of this assignment, something which will develop our successful partnership even further, Flandorfer continues.
