These framework agreements comprise onshore engineering work in Norway and abroad. Both Aker Solutions and Kværner are key players in respect of national and international oil and gas operations. Aker Solutions supplies products, systems and services to the oil and gas industry. This company covers the entire product chain from reservoirs to finished production. Kværner is a specialist EPC company (engineering services, procurement services and manufacturing) which is able to realise large, complex projects.

Multiconsult provides supplementary services to Aker and Kværner in its capacity as a consultancy and project design company These agreements have been entered into with Aker Engineering Technology AS and Kværner Engineering AS. They are mutual agreements, i.e. the services provided can be offered both ways between the companies.

Over 40 years of cooperation

Multiconsult has a long history with Aker and Kværner, having engaged in cooperation for over 40 years, ever since oil and gas operations commenced in the North Sea. These framework agreements have now been entered into in order to strengthen existing cooperation and to improve the companies’ competitive position.

– We are pleased that these framework agreements are now in place for onshore installations because Multiconsult and Aker/Kværner have enjoyed excellent, mutual cooperation for many years. These agreements are the result of mutual confidence which has existed over a long period of time, where we have realised many demanding projects together, says Ivar Eng, the Head of Multiconsult’s Oil and Gas Business Section.

Multiconsult contributes to all project phases

These new framework agreements will link Multiconsult to all project phases relating to onshore installations, from early location studies and concept development to the implementation of new installations and the modification of existing ones. The framework agreements comprise consultancy and project design services and building site follow-up. They will cover all types of installations and their associated objects such as infrastructures for landfall, site development, breakwaters and port installations, water and sewerage installations, foundations, steel structures, buildings and technical installations and storage installations, etc.

The agreements also comprise specialist services such as those related to geotechnology, rock technology, noise, vibrations and cold climate/Artic expertise. Multiconsult is also providing cost estimates for the projects.

New installations in the northern areas and abroad will also be particularly relevant in the future.
