Follo Line – Framework agreement with the Norwegian National Rail Administration

A constellation of the Norwegian companies Multiconsult, Dr. Ing. A. Aas-Jacobsen AS, and the Swiss company Amberg Engineering, has won the framework agreement to supply consultancy services in technical subjects for the Follo Line project. This is stated in a press release published by the Norwegian National Rail Administration.

The agreement is a Project Service Agreement, PSA. It lasts for three years with an option for another year.

– The Follo Line project is Norway’s largest transport project in modern times and is very complex. We therefore need specialist expertise during the project period. This agreement gives us that, says Jan Vormeland, Procurement Manager of the Follo Line project.

The agreement came into effect in October 2013 and works by allowing the Norwegian National Rail Administration to draw on our expertise in project management, technical consultancy services, and other specialist services as the project progresses.

– The agreement gives us the flexibility to deal with the challenges we face. We’re particularly pleased that this is a partnership between a company from Switzerland and two from Norway, who have proved to be the most competitive. The Follo Line project will help to increase the competitiveness of the Norwegian railway milieu. The agreement is a step in this direction, says Vormeland.

– We have great faith in this constellation of cooperation with Dr. Aas Jacobsen, ourselves, and Amberg Engineering. We’re pleased that the Norwegian National Rail Administration considers our offer to be the most attractive. Transport and infrastructure is a strategic priority at Multiconsult and is an area in which we want to be leaders. This is a good step towards achieving this, explains Eskil Sellgren, Vice President Market for Transportation and Infrastructure at Multiconsult.
