The Ministry of Petroleum and Energy (OED) has requested Gassnova, Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) and Gassco in co-operation to perform Pre-Engineering studies for transportation and disposal of captured CO2 from the Power Plant at Kårstø. IKM Ocean Design with Multiconsult as subconsultant for landfall and onshore pipelines incl. templates. The final report was finished January 2010.
As a part of the transportation network, IKM Ocean Design and Multiconsult developed a concept update report for Mongstad terminals. The concept study included landfall studies of borehole and trench solutions and several onshore approaches studies as well as onshore routing of pipelines.
The final report for Mongstad was delivered spring 2010.
