One of the most important goals of Polish economic policy is to raise the standard of Polish railways, including the railway infrastructure at border crossings. One of the key railways that Poland wants to modernize in the current economic context is the “E” line Będzin-Katowice-Tychy-Czechowice Dziedzice-Zebrzydowice, which due to its length was divided into 4 parts called LOTs. Multiconsult Poland was chosen by PKP Polish State Railways to develop a concept, prepare documentation for the construction and execution of the project and then to acquire the necessary permits for “LOT C”, covering the section Most Wisła-Czechowice Dziedzice-Zabrzeg.

The contract was signed on 14 March 2017 at PKP Polish State Railways’ headquarters in Wrocław. Modernizing the railways will play a significant role in raising capacity and thus improving links between the cities of the Upper Silesian metropolitan area.

“We are very happy to have signed another contract with PKP Polish State Railways – our key business client for whom we are producing pre-design and design documentation in conjunction with several dozen projects. We believe that a strong portfolio of orders including feasibility studies, project documentation and investor supervision lays a solid foundation for further developing the company,” explains Renata Mordak, Director of Multiconsult Poland’s Transportation Department.
