We are looking forward to getting started on this project,” says project manager Ane Tingstad Grav
The aim is to help turn the Dovre Railway into a competitive and reliable transport link between different regions. The project involves extensive geotechnical investigations, as well as upgrading platforms to universal design standards. A new grade-separated pedestrian crossing will also be built at Otta station. The possibilities of extending this crossing across the station area and of an over- or underpass for traffic in the high street are also being considered.
The project must ensure adequate short-term parking, long-term parking, cycle parking and kiss & ride facilities. It should also allow space for the potential expansion of the operations and maintenance base, and clarify Jernbaneverket’s future space and track requirements at the station.
