Collaborate on research of renewable energy project impacts

Multiconsult and Noragric (NMBU) have agreed to collaborate in the area of research and consultancy on environmental, social and economic implications of renewable energy projects, environmental governance and water resource management. The agreement will facilitate the two organizations in working together on joint research and consultancy work.

Noragric is the Department of International Environment and Development Studies at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. The department` s research, education and institutional collaboration activities are focused primarily on developing countries and countries with economies in transition.

Bringing together expertice
– This is a fantastic opportunity to bring together the expertise of our two organizations, says Kristine Lien Skog, Section Manager for Environmental Resources at Multiconsult. We will support Noragric with key experts and allow for master and doctoral students to gain practical experiences through our projects. Through this partnership, we will be even better positioned to deliver world-leading competence contributing to sustainable development and clean energy for all.

This agreement allow us to explore new and exciting opportunities for collaboration in both research and education, says Shai André Divon, Head of the Department of International Environment and Development Studies at LANDSAM/NMBU. We look forward to working together, and particularly in creating new opportunities for our students in terms of practical experience through internships, and potential involvement of Multiconsult staff in teaching and supervision of students.

The agreement will initially cover a five year period with a possibility of further extension.
