In 2015 the four public owners of Norway’s largest hydropower developer and operator Småkraft AS decided to split the company into two – a project developing company and an operating company. The operating company was put on public sale in search for a new owner. Multiconsult worked with Småkraft on the vendor due diligence, providing a neutral opinion of the company’s existing hydropower portfolio as guideline to potential buyers.
Scope of work
Multiconsult’s tasks included review of past production and guidance for future long-term production estimates; review of technical condition at existing assets and a tentative CAPEX/OPEX plan.
In this assignment, Multiconsult’s economists and engineers worked together with advisors from Swedbank.
