New framework agreement win with Norad

Multiconsult once again came out on top in the competition for new framework agreements with the energy department at the Norwegian Directorate for Development Cooperation (Norad). In addition to Norad itself, the contract can also be used by Norwegian Embassies and development partners.

The signing on October 11th marked the start of Multiconsult´s third consecutive four-year agreement with Norad. In addition to all renewable energy related disciplines, the contract also covers water resource management.

– This is a team win for Multiconsult´s Renewable Energy Department. Our ability to field leading international expertise in all the eight thematic areas covered by the agreement is a testament to our combined strength, says Tore Eliassen, head of Renewable Energy Services in Multiconsult.

While most of the work under the two previous framework agreements was awarded directly to Multiconsult, the new contract will entail more mini-competition with the three runners up in the competition.

– Over the past eight years, using the Norad framework agreement as a springboard, Multiconsult has had exceptional growth in this market, and now serve a large number of leading international donors. This, combined with our good working relationship with Norad gives us a competitive edge in the mini-competitions, says Mr. Eliassen.

PWC, Nordic Consulting Group, and the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) are sub-consultants to Multiconsult on the framework agreement.
